·        Angels Billabong

One of the famous destinations in Nusa Penida is Angel’s Billabong. This destination is one of the unique attractions of Nusa Penida that draws tourists to visit. Located in the district of Nusa Penida, Klungkung Regency, Angel’s Billabong is a natural pool formed at the end of a river before it meets the open sea. Known as Angel’s Billabong, derived from the word "Angel" meaning angel, while "Billabong" means a dead-end river. Hence, this place can be interpreted as the end of a river with hidden beauty akin to an angel. This place is well-known internationally, making it a must-visit on your next bucket list. Dubbed the angel of Nusa Penida, this place has several unique features. Its uniqueness lies in the appearance of a stunning natural pool that you won't find anywhere else. Its appeal as a valley pool slightly higher than the open sea shoreline makes it appear seamlessly connected to the ocean. The remaining seawater brought by the waves leaves behind clear water trapped in the pool, revealing corals adorned with green and yellow seaweed vegetation. Here, you'll be tempted to enjoy the clarity of the seawater and feel like swimming in a natural infinity pool.

·        Atuh Beach

Atuh Beach, or Pantai Atuh, is located in Pelilit village, Pejukutan district, Nusa Penida. Atuh Beach is one of the tourist destinations on the eastern part of Nusa Penida. To reach Atuh Beach, tourists can travel approximately 25 kilometers, taking about 1.5 hours from the Nusa Penida Roro Ferry port. Behind the beauty of Atuh Beach lies a story among the local community regarding its name. The word "Atuh" comes from two words, 'a' meaning not, and 'tuh' meaning dry. Therefore, 'atuh' can be interpreted as not dry. It turns out the name Atuh originates from a spring near Atuh Beach that never dries up even during the dry season. Despite its proximity to the beach, the water from this well is fresh and serves as a clean water source for the surrounding community. It's no wonder that near Atuh Beach there is a shrine called Pura Atuh, a Hindu place of worship. On certain days, the local community gathers to perform prayers at Pura Atuh. As a tourist destination, Atuh Beach is popular among visitors. The white sand beach and the clear sea water around Atuh Beach create a captivating view. Interestingly, there is a large coral rock in the middle of the sea known locally as "Batu Melawang." What makes it unique is that there is a hole at the end of this coral rock through which seawater passes. Because of this, locals sometimes refer to this rock as "Batu Bolong," where "bolong" means hole. Adding to the beauty of Batu Melawang are the lush vegetation growing on top of it, and behind it, some locals utilize it as a place for cultivation.
